Keeping Our Doors Open

Dechen LA, Sakya Buddhist Temple depends on donations from our supporters to stay open, just like Buddhist temples throughout history. Our goal is to make the remarkable Sakya tradition of Buddhism available to all. Generate merit by becoming a Dharma Supporter!

The income we receive from classes and events only covers a fraction of the rent for our property and we rely on recurring donations from our Dharma Supporters to stay open. We are run by volunteers, so have no personnel costs, and visiting Lamas do not receive income from our center although we do pay for their travel costs. We also support the living costs of the nuns of Tegchen Legshey Ling in Nepal.
