In mahāyāna Buddhism, the six paramitas or perfections are the six qualities to be developed to reach the goal of liberation. These are mentioned in the Perfection of Wisdom sutras, the Lotus Sutra and many other teachings.
The six perfections are: Dāna pāramitā: generosity and giving, Śīla pāramitā : virtue, morality and ethical conduct, Kṣānti pāramitā : patience, tolerance and acceptance, Vīrya pāramitā : energy, diligence and effort, Dhyāna pāramitā : one-pointed concentration or mediation, Prajñā pāramitā : wisdom and insight
All are welcome to this Buddhist teaching. Registration is now open here at Eventbrite
Laura Rubio, visiting from our sister center Sakya Dolma Ling in Mexico City, will provide an overview of these six perfections, teaching in English with Spanish translation if requested.
