Sunday Morning Meditation

These classes teach a Buddhist meditation called Calm Abiding (Shamatha).  It is a gentle technique that allows us to develop calmness, stability and a peaceful state of mind.

Each class begins with a simple introduction to the practice followed by two 10 to 15 minute sessions.  There’s time in-between sessions to ask questions about the practice or about meditation and Buddhism generally.

This is a very relaxed and open format for those wanting to learn how to meditate or learn more about the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
