Initiation of White Tara and Explanation of the Practice ‘Moon’s River Flow’

The essential nature of  Tara is primordial wisdom, the mother of all the Buddhas. In her various manifestations of enlightened mind, Tara develops her activity to liberate all beings from suffering and its causes. In the morning Lama Jampa will give the initiation of White Tara associated with longevity and health, which is the blessing to practice the mediation.

Practice Explanation or ‘Tri’

In the afternoon Lama Jampa will explain the sections of White Tara practice sadhana. This practice is called ‘ The Longevity instructions of White Tara Chintamanichakra, The Moon’s River Flow’, a practice concentrating the essence, the bestower of the nectar of immortality.

This sadhana was composed by Sachen Kunga Lodro (1729 – 1783) and Lama Jampa will teach the tri or practice instructions by Ngawang Legpa. This practice is famous and well known in the Sakya Lineage, it is traditionally completed by most Sakya Lamas to create positive conditions and a long-life to accomplish dharma practice and activity.

The explanation will continue on Sunday morning from 10am to 1pm

Not to be missed by anyone with a sincere interest in Tibetan Buddhism and vajrayana practice.

Please note you must have taken refuge as a Buddhist and received the White Tara initiation in the morning to receive this teaching and practice the sadhana.

Facility fee for the weekend (all day Saturday and Sunday morning) $40 . It is customary to make an offering to the Lama at the end of the teaching in gratitude for receiving this precious teachings.
