The Sakya Buddhist Center was founded in 2010 by Lama Jampa Thaye under the blessings of Karma Thinley Rinpoche. The Center’s Tibetan name is Sakya Samten Ling, which means ‘the meditation place of Sakya’ and it belongs to the Dechen group of Buddhist Centers.
